Accredited AS Best Departmental Officer of the year by District Collector In 2002. Some of the certifications include NVBDCP National level training at NICD, Delhi, India In 2006.WHO South East Asia Regional Course on Surveillance, Epidemic preparedness’ and Response at Chennai. Tamilnadu, India in 2001.Developed database for online application of ICD ten, procedure coding, Morphology coding including behavior coding. Currently working on ICD nine data base

Dr. Rajkumar Maheshwari

He did his MBBS and MS in Ophthalmology from South Gujarat University, Surat. He completed his long term fellowship in Vitreo-retina at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai in 2006. After completion of fellowship he continued working there as a consultant in Vitreo-retina services. His main area of interest and expertise is in Surgical Retina, Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinopathy of Prematurity

Dr.Vinod kumar.T completed his M.B.B.S from Kasturba Medical College Manipal and his DNB in Ophthalmology from the CBM Institute of Ophthalmology,Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly.He has done fellowship training in Diabetic Retinopathy and Lasers from the Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai and later his fellowship training in SICS from Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly.He has presented papers in various state level conferences. He has been a Consultant in Cataract Services & Medical Retina at our institute for more than a year now.

Dr.M.V.Satyajit completed his M.B.B.S from Govt. Medical College, Thrissur. He has done his D.O & M.S in Ophthalmology from Govt. Medical College, Calicut and his fellowship in Small Incision and Phaco-emulsification cataract surgery from our institute. He has presented papers at various state level conferences and is currently working as Consultant in Cataract services at our Institute.

Dr. Silni Chandra. M.S

Dr. Silni Chandra completed her M.B.B.S from Gandhi Medical College,Bhopal & M.S in Ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology,Bhopal. She has done her surgical fellowship in Small incision cataract surgery from Joseph Eye Hospital, Trichy, and has been working at our institute as Consultant in Cataract services & Refractive surgery for more than a year now.

Dr. Amarendra samal

Dr. Amarendra Samal completed his post graduation, M. D (Ophthalmology) from All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) New Delhi and done his project work on Eye banking and corneal transplantation in National Eye Bank,New Delhi. He has previously worked with multi specialty Eye hospitals in Gorakhpur and Bhubaneswar as Phaco and cornea consultant. He has four years of experience in Phaco emulsification with foldable – IOL. His fields of interests are eye banking, corneal transplantation and Refractive surgery. He is also very keen on the research activities in the field of corneal diseases. Presently he is a consultant in Cataract, Cornea and Refractive services of Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital.

Dr.Mahalakshmi had her M.B.B.S from Sri Devaraj URS Medical College, Kolar. She had done her D.O in Ophthalmology from Govt. Medical College, Mysore.She has teaching experience in Sri Devaraj URS Medical college at kolar as Tutor in the department of pharmacology from 2003 to 2004. She is currently working as ophthalmologist at our Institute.

Dr.Chockalingam Muthuraman

Dr. Chockalingam MBBS, DO, DNB, FRCS (Glasgow), completed MBBS from Stanley Medical College, and DO & DNB from Sankara Nethralaya. He was one among Contributor to the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Guidelines – 2008 developed by The South East Asian Glaucoma Interest Group (SEAGIG) He had his special training in Glaucoma Services, National University Hospital, Singapore March 2008 – May 2008 for Six weeks. He is a “Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons" Glasgow, UK. He has done PGDHM from IGNOU, New Delhi.
He has worked as Assistant Consultant in Sankara Nethralaya, Associate Consultant in Rajan Eye Care Hospital, Chennai; Medical officer in department of Glaucoma at Aravind Eye hospital, Coimbatore. He is also a visiting faculty for MS (hospital management) in KMCH Institute of Hospital Management, Coimbatore & Saint Joseph University, and Philadelphia, USA. He was awarded Dr. S. Ramakrishnan memorial cash award for the best out going PG in DO from Sankara Nethralaya. He has many papers and presentations in his credit. He is now working as senior consultant in Glaucoma in our institute. He had many publications among that the latest one was “Releasable and Adjustable Suture for Safe and Predicable Outcome Following Glaucoma Filtration Surgery” in Kerala Journal of Ophthalmology, September 2007.He is now working in our institute.

Dr.Bini Vasudev. M S

Completed M.S (Ophthalmology) from Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore under Rajiv Gandhi University of health Sciences in the year 2004.She has underwent a fellowship in General Ophthalmology at the Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly. She is well versed in the use of all modern diagnostic equipments and is well experienced in sutureless cataract surgery. She has attended and presented papers in various ophthalmic association meetings. Presently she is working as a Consultant ophthalmologist in Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital’s Regional Centre at Thrissur.
